Membership and Dues Information
Membership
fee is $125. The membership fee is a one-time initial charge to join the
Fire Department. It is good for as long as you live in the service area -
even if you move within the service area. The membership fee is payable in
six months. Each residence by the the same owner (even on the same
contiguous property) requires a separate membership. The $125 fee is
waived on all residences after the first membership; however, dues are payable
when the membership starts. House building memberships are available where
the initial membership fee is waived and the house builder simply pays the
annual dues to cover the house during construction. Memberships belong to
the individuals and do not transfer when the property is sold. The new
owners must purchase a new membership in their name.
The current dues are $50 annually. A $5 late fee is charged when dues are not paid within 30 days after the date of the dues notice. The dues amount is voted on by the membership present at the annual membership meeting. Dues are payable the next February after joining the Fire Department. Members in good standing (have paid their dues) are not charged for fire calls.
